Mick Wood is a highly respected UEFA A qualified coach with over 350 football league appearances to his name.

During his footballing career, Mick made over 350 league appearances playing for Blackburn Rovers, Bradford City and Halifax Town.

Following his retirement from playing he obtained his F.A. Preliminary Coaching Award (now known as the F.A. Level 2). Since then, Mick has gone on to obtain his F.A. Full Licence Award and in 1996, this was then converted to the UEFA “A” Coaching Licence Award.

Mick has also obtained a F.A. Diploma in the “Treatment and Rehabilitation of Sports Injuries” which he then put to use working at the Bradford City Centre of Excellence, coaching at all age ranges up to Under 16’s.

Over the years Mick has coached a number of Bradford University Football teams and also had a short spell in Perth, Western Australia coaching for the WA F.A.

Mick also managed Bradford City Women’s F.C for 4 seasons and took them, via 2 promotions and 2 cup wins, to the National Premier League for the first time in their history.
